We worked with Rockwell Group to produce a promo video for the upcoming Illuminarium Las Vegas location, an immersive installation space offering a variety of shows and at night, a unique bar experience. We used real projection content from the immersive design team to showcase a variety of exhibits, and worked with Rockwell to design the animated lighting on the facade and on the screens throughout the lobby. We handled all CG production and editing for this, working closely with Rockwell and the immersive design team to bring the space to life inside and out.
I was project lead, handling most client communications, editing, and leading the CG production. I also developed most of the shaders, populated all the shots with people, and set up the exhibit projection system. For the exhibits, we used a mix of emissive mapping and real projections to achieve the effect, including some match-animated dynamic elements to simulate footsteps and other interactions.
